Kauss Arhitektuur is an architecture and design bureau which has been operating in Tallinn since 2004. Our team is united by an interest in intertwining the pragmatic and the rational with the fine arts.
We have over 10 years of experience and a diverse portfolio in the fields of exterior and interior architecture. Since 2004 we have applied for around 200+ building permits. We have extensive experience of working with fixed budgets and designing in areas of cultural and environmental value. In collaboration with clients, we have developed a convenient process control model in which we draw up an action plan and notify the client of the project's developments at regular intervals.
We have experience of managing projects involving small and large new-builds and reconstructed buildings alike. Our team has the PASSIVE HOUSE DESIGNER energy efficiency certificate. We have designed a number of low-energy use homes and a zero-net energy kindergarten in Palamuse municipality.
We have designed a myriad of modern office environments and other public spaces. We package design with project management, which means we prepare a budget for the client, look for solution-providers and carry out designer’s supervision until the building is complete.
We provide consultations prior to striking a deal and help clients with feasibility and cost-benefit studies. We analyse the building rights options determined by the detailed plans in order to design a profitable building for the investor. We also investigate whether the chosen space is suitable for setting up an office or some other arrangement of rooms.
Our clients include RIIGI KINNISVARA (STATE REAL ESTATE), MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS, DOMUS REAL ESTATE, CITYCON, HELMES and the IT COMPANY ANDMEVARA.
I Preemia
Uue koolihoone arhitektuurne eesmärk on olemasoleva keskkonna elavdamine ja korrastamine nii, et tekib ühtne, terviklik ja põnev linnasüda koolile ja kogukonnale.
Hoone maht on kontaktis ümbritseva linnakeskkonna ja hoonestusega. Jagades koolihoone mitmesse väiksemasse mahtu tekib tihedam, kuid ümbritsevaga samas skaalas keskkond.
Kelpkatuse motiivi kasutamine peamise arhitektuurse elemendina seob uued hooned konteksti.
Vormikeel on mänguline ning territooriumi liigendav luues campuse- liku õpikeskkonna.
Kool kogukonnakeskusena on kavandatud nii, et hoone avalikkusele suunatud ruume saaks grupeerida ja kasutada ka koolivälisel ajal.
Kooli südame kujunemine – keskne avatud ruum, mis on hästi liigendatud erinevate funktsioonidega siseruumis ja ühendatud välialadega.
